Best Father’s Day Gift

This weekend, I received the best Father’s Day gift:

My 3-year-old son asked if we could go on a run 😁

I was beyond excited that he asked me. So much so, I didn't realize his shoes were on the wrong feet until a half mile into our run 😂

There were moments when he wanted to stop, but I'd give him a landmark to aim for, and he pushed until he achieved it. Watching this in real time made me so proud of him and served as a reminder that we are capable of so much more than we think.

I truly believe I have a responsibility not only to teach but to be a consistent example of health and wellness for my loved ones.

The truth is, the people around us rarely do what we say. They do what they see.

Whether it's your children, nieces, nephews, cousins, or your friends' kids, know they're always watching.

Every workout, every walk, every healthy meal, every decision to prioritize our well-being sends a message. Not because we're telling others what to do, but because we're showing them what's possible, and we can never underestimate the power of being an example of what’s possible.

This run wasn't really about exercise. It was a reminder that our habits have a ripple effect. The standards we set for ourselves today may become the standards our children carry into the future.

That's a responsibility I don't take lightly.

Take control—not just for yourself, but for those who are watching ✌🏽
